I personally use MIDIs because my phone is fairly old and I dont have the purty mp3 playback yet. I also use this site: http://www.freeringers.net/polyphonic.php

Its 8 dollars or something for a year, and you can add up to 4 phones on your acct. Its unlimited ringtones, and you are able to locate your own MIDI files, and upload them to your phone through them. It even has nice little options such as 'remove silence from beginning of song' or 'crop to 30 seconds' 'crop to 45 seconds' 'increase note volume' etc.

But yeah, other than that I just use google to search for MIDI websites :3

lol.. joe normal seems to be quite.. uh.. common from what I can see so far ^^;; I thought I was going to get much higher in Geek for sure.

bindermichi and drkandres are pretty much dead on as far as creating layouts/contents go. The first step into creating a site however is determining a host, a webdomain, and the website's name. I personally use Dreamhost (http://www.dreamhost.com/) but I'm pretty sure there are cheaper hosts out there and probably some decent free ones.

The next thing of course would be to create the layouts as others have mentioned, and to build up the content. If you dont want to create a layout there are alot of free to use layouts out on the web that you can download, just remember to keep the credits on those layouts. Otherwise, for HTML help This is a great site (http://www.lissaexplains.com/).

Determine your navigation links while creating your layout too, and try to keep things straight forward and simple. Most sites always have a 'Home' link that returns back to the updates page, a 'links' page for links in or links out (some sites use 2 pages, 1 to each links in and out), also an 'About' page for information about the website, disclaimers, etc. Then optional pages those 3 are an 'F.A.Q.' section (frequently asked questions), 'Contact Us' page which includes emails of all the site staff and other forms of contact.. and.. I think thats it for main stuff.

Hmm.. last thing I can think of is to make sure you use thumbnails for images. A thumbnail is small sample image of the original image that links to the original image. I know alot of beginners will use the original sized image and just adjust the height and width properties to shrink it. This is actually rather annoying because the image still takes a while to load and can be overwhelming for dial-up visitors.

hmm about the prophecy.. "Neither can live while the other survives." To be honest I have no idea what to think here. The 6th books end totally took me for a loop. Also, J.K. said alot of people will die in the 6th and 7th book.. In a way I want to believe that this phrase is just stating that neither of them can live freely while the other is alive. heh I agree with everything you said Celessa, its just really disappointing to know we can do anything about it.

So far we've only gotten a few ideas, and the most sensible one seems to be the most time consuming (the report option). When the scans here started getting out of line (low sizes and bad quality), the admins/mods increased the minimum size and it seems to fix most of the scans (some people still submit in low quality scans by blowing them up to the min size needed). Although it does have that fault, its part of the reason why I suggested to make wallpaper submissions a min size of 1152x864. But thinking about it, that wont solve the problem much at all.

I've mentioned this before but the majority of favored wallpapers are often female scans (that do not belong to an anime series or a low popular series) posted on some type of scenery background with a few good brushes. Be it space wallpaper, trees and stars, a stock photo, etc.

Hmm.. I wonder. Would it be too hard/server constraining to change up the front of MT a bit? Theres usually 9 most recent wallpapers followed by 6 most favored wallpapers. If you could take one row to 1152x864 and lower wallpapers plus scans, a row to 1280x960-1280x1024, and another row to 1600x1200? I also mentioned before that most good/decent/hard working wallers make higher res sizes, this would just simply leave those wallpapers up longer and let all the 1024x768 wallpapers come and go in its own row. 3 to each on the recent submissions, and 2 to each on the faves?

(just throwing ideas around because this really urks me)

its supposed to be for when you like something you see. Most people will just notice you suddenly and browse your category for anything. If they like some things they're favorite it. Others have a different ideas of favoriting. Some have high standards, some have low standards.. just depends on how picky you are..

wow I thought I was the only one who felt that way. To be honest, I've lost all faith in MTs walling department as of lately. I still post dont get me wrong.. I just dont really beleive in it anymore..

I log in here to only find low res (1024x768) wallpapers that are just a space backgrounds + glitter brushes + a pretty girl on the Todays Favored Submissions. Its a real dissapointment to what that area once be. It used to feature the best of the best.. no offense to those of you who who made it up there with 1024x768 wallpapers.

I've also noticed that by the number of wallpapers submitted, other wallpapers get pushed back in a matter of hours, sometimes not even that long. The only real way to find a wallpaper you know was done by a real waller, is to friend them and wait for a little notification to pop up. Thats just too time consuming.

I think you shouldnt be allowed to place a wallpaper up unless its 1152x864 and above. In decent quality (so we know they didnt blow it up). Thats just my opinion/idea to fix this issue. Its obvious that real wallers start off in higher resolutions for the majority of their fans.

Or perhaps limit 1 wallpaper per person a day to be uploaded. I remember Anime Online used to have a mod 'Accept' a wallpaper before it was displayed, but those are jurrastic measures..

The time idea was nice, but its not very effective like the others said. As of lately I've been doing a TON of editing on original scans. I've spent up to 20+ hours on my last project alone. If I wanted to I could just slap that on a gradiant background with a few small dot brushes and call them stars. Oh, but because I did 20 hours on the scan, its ok right? Heh, see what we're getting at?

I try to type everything correctly and fully, on forums, and talking.. the only word I can think of that has an exception of this is "though" I usually type "tho" in its place ^^;

sometimes I like to type "hi2u2" when I'm saying hi to someone I wanted to talk to but they didnt message me first, or "plzkthx" jokingly to my best friend (she hates when people type like that)

I do use the laugh abbreviationss, among other abbreviations,, like lol, lmao, rofl, roflmao, IM, MT, AO, etc.

haha.. I cant get away from this game no matter where I go

Lets see.. I started playing last open beta.. stopped playing around august.. started playing again in january.. stopped playing again sometime in march.. it gets so boring after a while. I rejoined the game in january thinking it would be a little bit more interesting with the new character classes, but then rag heald out on releasing the extra slots.

Naturally I was one of those people where I make a character, get it to lvl 70+, then delete it.. but at this point I had a pure forge, a lvl 75 pure int/support priest, and a 75 assassin str/agi dagger/katar hybrid. Needless to say, those are very boring classes when your at those levels. And behind those I've had 2 lvl 70+ hunters, 1 lvl 70+ knight, 2 lvl 60+ knights, 4 lvl 60+ assassins, 1 lvl 70+ assassin, 1 lvl 60+ pure forge, 1 lvl 60+ monk, 1 lvl 70+ battle priest, 1 lvl 60+ wizzard, 1 lvl 60+ rogue, and who knows what else (all deleted).

Its true tho, that this game is addicting.. I think the only reasons holding me from going back is 1- college is starting soon, 2- it takes ALL my time and 3- I gave out all my items when I last left and 4- I know I'll get bored again.

Its ok for the first 3-6 months...

Reasons why I wall.. 5 main reasons I can think of.

1- Creating something step by step amuses me. I just enjoy looking at something in its first stages with endless possibilities, creating my ideas, mixing and distorting things, all down to the very end result.

2- Gives me something to look at I originally started walling because I had images I wanted to be used in wallpaper, but no one ever used them, or I couldnt find something I liked using them. Even after all this time its the same way... especially lately, what happaned to all the wallers who walled the bishies? Its all female wallpapers now

3- Takes my mind off things. Its like a nice little world where I can go to be myself. I dont have to think about much of anything while making wallpapers or other graphic images for that matter ^^

4- You can see your improvement. Walling is something where you can actually visually see people or yourself improve with time.. most things you can see your improvement, but because walling is a visual art, its more.. er.. visual ^^;

5- People enjoy your work. Its a great feeling to complete something your proud of, but its even nicer knowing other people enjoy your work as well.

Not all girls are expensive ;; dont get that idea about all girls. Personally I hate it when guys buy me things, makes me feel like I have to depend on them, and not only that, but I feel like I never deserve it. Same thing applies when going out to dinner or a movie.. while I wont mind it if we were in a relationship thats been going on for a while, I wouldnt like it if it was something in the string of first dates. I love cats, they're so cute and friendly. they dont JUMP on me, they dont overkill my legs when they sit on me, they dont slobber on me, and they dont require attention 24/7.
